PROCEDURE OF DATABASE ACCESS-
Any access to the stored data is done by the data manager.
ROLE OF DBMS IN ANY ORGANIZATION-
1. It makes the decision regarding the content of the database.
2. It plans for storage structures and access strategies.
3. It provides support to the users.
4. It defines security and integrity checks.
5. It interprets backup and recovery techniques.
Any access to the stored data is done by the data manager.
Data manager sends request for a specific physical record to the file manager. Then the file manager decides which physical block of secondary storage devices contains the required record and sends the request to the disk manager.
